I know I've been rather passive lately, concerning the DA at least. I haven't put up new pictures and there's a good reason for that. I haven't had the pictures.

I have been in the UK for two weeks, but I was teaching there and there was hardly any time to take pictures. I have some and I'll post them. When I got back home, I took the liberty of going for a walk in a little wilderness. I've taken loads of pictures and I'll select the nicest ones to put on the DA. From the 5th up till the 10th of September, I'll be in Ireland, mainly in Dublin. I'll have to take many a picture then, because I will be stunned by its beauty. I am a real Ireland-addict and I don't know when I'll recover. Perhaps never and I don't know whether that would trouble me. I suppose it's better to want something that is only a bit out of reach, than wanting something that is impossible to have. That is what I usually want, something that's out of bounds, that I can't have. But some things in life you have to appreciate, even if you can't have them and of course, it's always good to appreciate the things in life that you do have. You could value each bit of freedom, the possibility to be in a forest, the pictures on the DA, people you meet and talk to about (slightly less) ordinary things. I value them, not always enough, but when I stop to think about it, I do value it with all my heart.
You can expect the new pictures very soon.
With Love,
Lady Berkana

The silence depressed me. It wasn’t the silence of silence. It was my own silence.
